What dictates the value of plastic materials?

Plastic material pricing typically follows the trends of oil and natural gas, since plastic is a byproduct of these products. Due to this, resin pricing is expected to follow these two markets pretty closely. However, keep in mind that supply and demand also affect the resin market as well, whether that be in a positive or negative light.
