FAQs: Frequently Asked Questions

Do you have questions about our recycled plastic processing services? Look no further! Below are answers to some of our frequently asked questions. If you still have questions, feel free to contact us via phone or email for more information.

What plastics are we most interested in bringing in to recycle?

GAR Plastics is constantly on the lookout for new supply streams of plastic to recycle. We’re particularly interested in HIPS, HMWPE, HDPE, and PP, but we’re also open to other materials. Contact us today to learn more about how we can partner with you to recycle your plastic.

Do you recycle post-consumer materials?

We believe that the future of recycled plastic processing is bright. As more companies prioritize sustainability, the demand for high-quality post-consumer recycled plastic resins will continue to grow. We are excited to be expanding into this movement and look forward to continuing to innovate in all things recycled plastics, both PCR and PIR materials.

What dictates the value of plastic materials?

Plastic material pricing typically follows the trends of oil and natural gas, since plastic is a byproduct of these products. Due to this, resin pricing is expected to follow these two markets pretty closely. However, keep in mind that supply and demand also affect the resin market as well, whether that be in a positive or negative light.
